NECC NEF Enduro3 registration opens next week

National Education Foundation (NEF) is a charitable organization active in the field of informal and outdoor education for the past 17 years. NEF is also the pioneer of adventure racing in the National Defence Academy (NDA), and organizes India's only adventure race Enduro3 The Adventure Race. The 6th edition of this, India's first and only adventure race, NECC NEF Enduro3 will take place on Friday 8 th February 2008 and Saturday 9th February 2008.

The NECC NEF Enduro3 offers a platform for amateur and professional athletes to test their endurance and fitness while competing for the prize money. Since the first edition of the race in 2003, the NECC NEF Enduro 3 has come a long way. Hundreds have come and tried to conquer, and a few have succeeded. The rest go back, not disappointed, but driven with an even more powerful desire to excel the next time. The idea behind the race is to promote adventure racing as a sport and spread ecological awareness, as well as to foster the spirit of adventure and a love for nature in the minds of the people.

The NECC NEF Enduro3 is conducted in Pune across the spectacular theatre of the National Defence Academy Campus, the Sahyadri Mountains and the Panshet Back Waters. It involves 200 square km of mountainous terrain, 100 km of dirt road cycling, 90 km of trekking, rifle shooting with 0.22 rifles, river crossing at night ... and lots of adrenalin.
