The Mountain Adventure Race 2008 is set for May 15 -18

Join George Rice and Chris Axelson again for the second edition of the Mountain Adventure Race.

Last year the sheer brutality of the topography pushed many teams past their physical and emotional limits. This year late snowpack in the mountains along with spring run off swollen rivers will present a whole new set of challenges on the course. The 08 MAR is in a whole new location covering long sections of the continental divide, and navigating rivers first explored by Lewis and Clark over 100 years ago. There will be plenty of amazing terrain to cover again, as anybody that attended last year’s race will tell you, Montana has loads of to offer!

The timing of this event combined with its shorter expedition length format will afford PQ racers the perfect opportunity to get a sneak preview of the type of terrain that "Bid Daddy" will present.

The MAR staff will also be conducting a PQ certification clinic for the two days preceding the race, so it will be possible to get all of your certifications for this years race, and have yourself a great tune-up race in an unbelievable setting all at once!

This years MAR is for teams of two or four, but again the prize money will be limited to the traditional four person co-ed teams.
