I remember over 15 years sitting in a pub after the IMRA Carrantuohill race and hearing the announcement of a race being organised in Kerry that would involve mountain running, kayaking and mountain biking that would run over several days. While I was impressed I didn\'t take much notice and I only manage to make it to this event (The National Adventure Marathon) in 2003. Of course we did get the Adrenalin Rush in Ireland in 2000 and that started the Irish Adventure Race Series. For 2008 the Irish calendar has grown into something huge with all the well established organisers gearing up for a busy year and a new big event planned back in Kerry. Sleepmonsters will keep you up to date on what is happening and of course the Forum is there for us all to keep in contact in the adventure race community.
