Race organisers for Destination Unknown: Expedition New Zealand have advised that the closing date for entries for this years event is 15th March 2008 – this Saturday. The event is scheduled for October 2008 and will be covered exclusively by SleepMonsters during this time.

Destination Unknown: Expedition New Zealand have published their second newsletter on the web site at www.expeditionnz.com. The newsletter contains the event entry form and waiver which must be signed by all team members. The organisers will accept placeholder entries from those people that are looking to put a team together and can advertise of behalf of people that are looking either to join a team or to build a team.

Preceding the start of Destination Unknown: Expedition New Zealand will be a series of competency checks and training sessions based around some of the unique features that teams will expect to encounter during the race. Some of these are detailed in this second event newsletter.
