Wicked Gorge Adventure Race Set for July 18-19

The 2008 Gorge Games is returning to the Columbia River Gorge along the Oregon/Washington State borders. As part of the Games, Wicked Adventure Racing will be producing two adventure races:

* Wicked Gorge Pro Course - 24 Hour Race - July 18th
* Wicked Gorge Sport Course - 5 to 10 Hour Race - July 19th

The 2008 Gorge Games will be airing with 3.5 hour of prime time television coverage in August. All Fox Sports television stations will
air the Gorge Games, including the Wicked Gorge adventure races, reaching an estimated *84 MILLION households*. We will have embedded
camera men, point-of-view cameras on teams, and camera people littered through out the woods just waiting to catch you when you\'re feeling ... high, low, up, down, happy, sad, and everything else in between!

The Wicked Gorge Pro Course is also a series points race in the 2008 Checkpoint Tracker Adventure Racing Series. Four person coed teams will obtain points towards the $30,000 prize purse!

These races will be physical demanding, and mentally challenging. However, we always design our courses so that the hardened Pro may gasp
in agony and yet the weekend warrior will still find a suitable challenge that they can compete, and complete.

The Gorge Games will also be hosting many other events; Mountain Biking, Riverboarding, Kayaking, Kite Boarding, Sailing, Sailboarding, Running, and much more. In addition, several bands will be playing, beer gardens will be flowering up all over the place, and a ton of social and cultural events will be happening. The Gorge Games are a fantastic Sports and Cultural festival that celebrates the beauty, bounty, and ruggedness of the Columbia River Gorge. Even non-athletes will have a
fantastic time, and your families will find a ton of events to fill their time while you toil away in the back country.

We have teams from all over the U.S. arriving, as well as a team from New Zealand. We hope to see some of the rest of you out at this

There will be an Athletes Village that competitors will be able to stage out of, have low cost camping, and there will be several athlete specific events and festivities.
