The Urban Polaris Rides Again

The Foundation, which delivers services to people in the ACT living with a mental illness and their carers, will run the 2008 Urban Polaris on Sunday 7th December, 2008.

The Urban Polaris is Australia’s largest mountain bike navigation event, where riders take to the streets, tracks, forests and parks of Canberra in a race to decipher the clues that will lead them to the finish line. The event is open to serious riders, families and teams
of all ages. All proceeds from this event will be donated to the Mental Health Foundation (ACT).

“Wild Horizons will be helping the Foundation in the running of the Urban Polaris in Canberra this year and hope that the whole cycling community gives the event their full support and that the event grows to beyond the 600 or so riders who take part each year. Down the track I’m actually looking forward to riding in a Polaris rather than organising one!”
