Jen has finished Badwater!
Jacqueline Windh / 15.07.2008

Jen is home! While much of the field will still be out on the course for most of tonight as well, Jen has rocked her way home to finish 9th overall (5th female).
She is the youngest person in the field this year, and the youngest woman ever to run this race.
She finished in 32:31:57. According to her blog, posted by her mom, \"She\'s afraid to take her shoes off, because her feet are trash, but other than that, all is well.\"
Canada\'s only other entrant in Badwater this year (of a total field of 80 racers) is Ontario\'s Monica Scholz, currently running really well in 12th place and due to finish soon.
Way to go, women! We\'re all really proud of you!
Tuesday July 15th, 8am
Jen is most of the way through Badwater! At the 90-mile mark, she is running 4th female and 8th overall.
BC\'s Jen Segger-Gigg, one of Canada\'s top adventure racers, is most of the way through Badwater - the 135 mile ultra run that starts in searing Death Valley and ends in the high Sierras.
I\'m following her progress on line - at the 90-mile mark, she is running 4th female and 8th overall!
The course has already claimed a few casualties - including ultrarunning legend Charlie Engle. As of the 122 mile mark, Mexico\'s Jorge Pacheco is running strongly in first place, with Hungary\'s Akos Kunya chasing hard, just 17 minutes behind.
Jen, at 27, is the youngest person in the field this year, and the youngest woman ever to have competed in Badwater. Way to go Jen!
