It’s a Busy Month with Dark and White ...

05.09.2008
Peak District based Dark and White Challenge Events are in for a very busy September. They will also be spreading their wings and be heading up to the Lake District for their annual RAB Mountain Challenge and in-between times will be offering the final round of the SKINS Six in the Peak Adventure Race and the first in the series of their 3 hour Mini-Mountain Marathon.

Dark and White Challenge Events are also pleased to announce the support of High Five Sports Nutrition across all their events. High Five and Dark and White have teamed up to ensure that racers at all events have access to best in High Energy Sports Fuel and this will be made available to race goers. High Five join other Dark and White Partners: Rab, SKINS, BUFF, Vertebrate Publishing, Accelerate and SleepMonsters.

7th September: SKINS Six in the Peak Adventure Race Series, Last & Final Round 5.

The last event is to be based from New Mills and anyone who knows the area will realise that this final 6 and shorter 3.5 hour challenge will be no push over. The surrounding area offers some superb mountain biking and the trail running is excellent and opportunities for off-piste running abound. As ever Event Organiser Richard Patton has been searching out the usual surprise treats for all race goers.

To encourage newcomers to race Dark and White are offering ‘Bring a Friend for FREE’. Entries can be made via the website and on the day for your ‘Free’ friend ...

14th September: Dark and White Mini Marathon, Round 1.

The guys at Dark and White know the Peak District so well that any event they organise is guaranteed to bring a smile to your face. Racing over 3 hours you collect your map as you cross the start line and you have to navigate your way to as many check points as you can within the time limit. The event series was hotly contested last time and brought out many of the UK’s top racers.

Round 1 takes place from Rowter Farm, near Castleton and entries can be placed via the website or on the day.

27th September: RAB 2 Day Mountain Marathon

Run under FRA rules this event is growing in popularity. All classes are ‘Score’ so avoiding the snake of competitors trailing each other from check point to check point. Run over two days the event follows the standard ‘self sufficient’ format and will test both navigation and endurance for all concerned.

The 2008 competition centre is based around some superb high level Fell running around the Skidaw areas.
