Cotswold Outdoor 30th Birthday Bash
Rob / 05.05.2004

Cotswold Camping, (as they were known then), started life in 1974 from a small outbuilding in the Cotswolds, from which the founders sold a range of basic camping accessories. 30 years on the company has 14 major stores across UK, a mail order service and online shopping through their website, all carrying a comprehensive range of outdoor clothing and equipment. Last weekend was their 30th ‘birthday’ and as a thank you to their customers they are running some great offers and a competition.
For any orders placed this week (1st and 8th May) you’ll get free delivery to any UK mainland or Northern Ireland address, and will also go into a prize draw with a chance to win either a signed copy of ‘The Lost Explorer’ by Conrad Anker or a copy of ‘Touching the Void’ by Joe Simpson. There are 15 of each to be won. Any orders over £200 will automatically get a free DVD of ‘Touching the Void’ as well.
The competition is for outdoor photography and is being run in conjunction with Lowepro, who are providing the prizes. They are asking for the submission of pictures which show ‘what you think is great about the ‘Great Outdoors’, whether it’s hiking in the Himalayas, climbing in the Canada, or walking in Wales – it’s up to you. It could be an extreme sport or just a shot which captures the beauty of the outdoors, whatever you think would make a great photo!
This competition is open to everyone – professional or budding amateur and it’s free to enter up to 4 pictures. The prizes on offer are;
Over 16’s – a Lowepro Nature Trekker AWII camera bag RRP £219.
Two runners up will also receive a Mini Trekker AW worth over £100.
Under 16’s – a Lowepro Orion Trekker camera bag worth around £50.
2 runners up will each receive a Rezo 50 worth £20.
You can find all the details of how to enter the competition here, and all the offers, plus news of other special events at stores are listed here.
