The ever-surprising Canberran bushland
Diane Chanut - AROC Sport / 05.11.2008

The event will be making the most of Canberra\'s outdoor assets including superb mountain bike trails, great bush orienteering and some fun paddling. What makes Canberra such an amazing and perfect place for adventure racing is the diversity of course options only minutes from its centre! The bush is ideal for orienteering, being less thick than the Sydney area’s; the mountain biking is challenging yet fun, making the technical tracks of Northern Sydney suddenly not as appealing; and finally, there is no shortage of ponds, lakes and rivers to drop a kayak in!
Set on one of Canberra\'s iconic lakeshore locations, this event will be a short half day of fun for locals and the opportunity for Sydneysiders who missed out on the Classic Course at the last Paddy Pallin Adventure Race in Windsor to get their fill of adventure and make a weekend out of it: World-class mountain biking in Stromlo is one of the great options available for a complementary Sunday morning activity!
