D.A.R.E. 2009 goes live!
Dynamic Adventure Racing / 19.03.2009

Online entries will open on 24th March at 8:00 am at www.dynamicadventureracing.co.uk
After the huge success of the first D.A.R.E in May 2008, this year the number of places available has been extended to 70 pairs. The Isle of Purbeck is such a stunning location, with such a wide range of terrains on offer, that they have decided to run the D.A.R.E there again, but this time from a brand new race base.
If anyone would like to be part of the D.A.R.E but without the thrill of the chase, Simon and Nicky will be looking for marshalls to help out at the event base and out on the course. Give them a call on 01425 674326 if you’re interested.
DAR 2009 So far . . . .
The year started with the race that DAR like to hold in what they like to think of as their own back garden, The New Forest National Park. Always known as a pretty fast race location due to the gently undulating land and gravel cycle routes. . . . . but boy was it wet ! After days of rain, the bogs were at their best and despite Simon’s warnings some people just couldn’t keep out of the water! One lady literally went in up to her neck!
Last weekend was the second event weekend of the year, in the beautiful Dorset Hills, the weather was just perfect for racing and showed the hills off at their best. Only the week before, Nicky had set the course out in 8 inches of snow! Many of the competitors were rather surprised at the amount of ascent and descent they found down here in the South! The results for both the Endurance and Challenge sre up on the DAR website. (Race reports will follow very shortly.)
