Red Bull Northern Exposure gets it up
Rob / 13.03.2002

The long awaited web site for the Red Bull Northern Exposure is finally on our screens.
It’s been delayed a while (as web sites are prone to be), but it looks good. Anyone who has seen sites from other Red Bull sponsored races (like the Mountain Mayhem) will recognise the style.
The opening ‘movie’ is a taste of what teams might expect and the whole site is in Flash, but seems pretty quick nevertheless. All the information is overlaid on some ‘cartoon’ style graphics, and the characters in the snow look suspiciously like race supremos Steve Duffy, Steve Watkins and Gary Tompsett. The same style is carried through to ‘postcards’ you can send to friends and on downloadable wallpapers (which have a novel approach to some outdoor skills).
It’s not great on the interactive side, but you can register for race updates and all the information is there, including training tips, kit list and skills. There is no team list, but the latest news we’ve heard is that top Spanish team Red Bull Playstation are going to be in the starting line up.
No doubt we’ll hear more nearer the time, but for the moment the organisers are just hinting at ‘things which won’t have been seen outside of an Eco-Challenge’ before. Now what could that mean ……
If you want to check out the site take a look here.
