Rapid Ascent were in New Zealand last week checking out course options. Running through gorges and tunnels, climbing mountains and following spectacular coastal trails. We spotted a pod of Orcas in the middle of the swim course (do Orca’s eat humans?) and mountain biked over picture postcard countryside that reminded us of the English countryside. Yes, it is a rotten job but someone has to design these race courses!<br />

Waihi is a historic gold mining town with a difference. The mine is located literally 75m from the main street and when you peer over the rim of the mine you can’t see the bottom. Just down the road is beautiful Waihi Beach ( a small holiday town with houses right on the beach) where the water activities will provide plenty of challenges and excitement. Immerse yourself in the raw beauty that New Zealand has to offer and mix pleasure with extreme adventure ��" get your friends together for a holiday to remember. <br />
