The 2010 DT Swiss Mountains To Beach

Media Release - Wild Horizons / 29.09.2009
The Mountains To Beach (MTB) is a 5 day, 400km mountain bike race from the top of the chairlift at Thredbo ski resort in the NSW Snowy Mountains to the beach at Narooma on the stunning South Coast of NSW. It traverses some of the best landscapes in Australia in 11 stages over the 5 days. Race stages range from 10km to 100km.
Event Director Huw Kingston said his team were looking forward to putting on another great tour and race:

'The event route is similar in 2010 although weve made a few of the stages even better including a longer first race stage at Thredbo and some interesting new trail sections on our journey down to the coast. Once again, riders will ride all the way (with the exception of one chairlift and the Ski Tube through the mountain to Perisher!)

Weve also a name change for the 2010 event. Dirt Works, one of Australias leading cycle industry businesses, have requested a change in the headline sponsor for the MTB event. Last time it was the BMC Mountains To Beach; for 2010 and 2011 it will be the DT Swiss Mountains To Beach. DT Swiss are one of the most respected high end bike component brands with a wide range including suspension forks and wheels.
