Craft take on Title Sponsorship of the Transalp

Oliver Kraus / 19.10.2009
From 2010 on, CRAFT takes over the title sponsorship of the world's possibly most important mountain bike stage race.

Besides being the main sponsor of the Trans Germany the Swedish manufacturer of functional clothing thus also took over the naming rights for the CRAFT BIKE TRANSALP powered by NISSAN which will take place next year from July 17th to 24th.

The 13th Transalp will kick off in Fuessen (GER) leading in eight stages across the Alps to Riva del Garda (ITA). The registration for the mtb highlight of the up-coming season will start on December 6th, 2009, at twelve noon sharp.

That CRAFT is the perfect match for a fruitful and successful future the organisers Delius Klasing Verlag and event agency Plan B were looking is proven by the good partnership both sides had with the Trans Germany so far. No wonder, that the contract was enlarged for another year making the race in Germany (June 2nd to 5th, 2010) the best possible preparation for the CRAFT BIKE TRANSALP.

Holger Hoffmann, CEO CRAFT Germany, said: "After having been a reliable partner for the Trans Germany for three years, we are happy to be the title sponsor for the Transalp from 2010 on. The sponsorship for both outstanding mountain bike stages races in Europe are a true challenge for CRAFT providing many new chances for us as a mountain bike clothing manufacturer." The three-time Trans Germany finisher also announced he is to enter the next year's race in July.

Interested mountain bikers who want to line up at the start in Fuessen like Hoffmann next year should note the date December 6th, 2009. At twelve noon sharp, the official online registration will open – on www.bike-transalp.de
