Hellrunner ... King Hell
News Release / 05.02.2010

Hell up North takes place on Sunday 7th November at Delamere in Cheshire and improved ‘big event’ parking facilities will allow 3000 intrepid runners to enjoy (or is it endure?) the unique HellRunner experience. 2000 will be taking part in the “Morning Glory†at 10.00am with a second helping, entitled “The Aftermath†commencing at 1300hrs for a further 1000 runners.
The growth of HellRunner does not stop there. Hell Down South will now take place across the whole weekend of November 27th and 28th with morning events on both the Saturday and Sunday ... perhaps an opportunity for some double dipping! The ever-popular Longmoor Camp, Hampshire venue will again provide its acclaimed multi-terrain test.
Event Director Paul Magner comments: “We are looking forward to welcoming 8000+ poor souls this year and will ensure that The Bog of Doom and Hills of Hell offer a suitably challenging and memorable experience.â€
Magner was asked about the HellRunner folklore as transcribed on the back of the 2009 survivor’s tee shirt and, specifically, about the truth behind the King Hell character who was featured.
“I do think that most HellRunner’s believe in the existence of King Hell. Many spectators will confirm that the runners often come out with an involuntary “King Hell†during the particularly hard sections of the event ...â€
