70 Wild Miles For Charity

The adventure kicks off with participants pedalling 47 miles, before taking to the water in a kayak and paddling 10 miles. The last stretch of 13 miles is then completed on foot.
The challenge will take place on Saturday 22nd May 2010 at the Share Centre in Fermanagh with each section starting and finishing at the site. Participants can take part either as an individual or in a team of three and are asked to raise a minimum £100 in sponsorship for CLIC Sargent. (There are also 70 Wild Miles events held in Wales (Bala on July 3rd) and Scotland (Glencoe on June 5th).
Katie Setterfield, Area Fundraising Manager, CLIC Sargent says, “For anyone who is looking for the ultimate physical challenge, this is the perfect event. It’s also great for adventure enthusiasts who are keen to try a triathlon, but are not so keen on swimming. Places always get filled up quickly so participants are urged to register their place as soon as possible to avoid disappointment.â€
This is fourth consecutive year CLIC Sargent has organised the 70 Wild Miles event and it has raised over £50,000 to date
