Celebrity Central at Forster
Rapid Ascent - Media Release / 26.03.2010

As team spokesperson, Bacon says that “the boys and I are really excited about the race and are looking forward to the challenge. We’re very excited to be a part of your race." That’s great Bacon, because we’re stoked to have you although we can’t guarantee that a few female competitors won’t be running after you in hot pursuit.
Also confirming their two man team entry is Guy Leech and Brad Bevan who will be racing the Anaconda Half event on Sunday 2nd May. You would have to be living under a rock if you didn't know who Guy Leech is? Let me highlight a few of his accomplishments: in 1984 he won the first ever professional Ironman race – the Coolangatta Gold and then went on to dominate Ironman for the next 10 years, winning seven Uncle Toby’s Ironman Championships. He’s won the infamous World Ocean Paddling Championship in Molokai, was confirmed as Australia’s fittest athlete in 1994 by the AIS and was more recently declared the fittest over 40 year old on the planet by Ultra Fit magazine. He now runs Guy Leech Health and helps others get fit, from daily men's and women's training groups through to the likes of Madonna and George Clooney. This guy is hot in more ways than one!
Brad Bevan dominated triathlon in the 1990's. His career has had many highs and lows (like being hit by a car the day before the Sydney World Cup, an Olympic Qualifier event). During his highs, Brad was a four time World Cup Champion and five time National Champion over Olympic and middle / short distance triathlon. Teaming up with Guy Leech, these guys will truly rock and make it worth coming to Forster just to see them in action.
