Blackheart Events Technology
Press Release / 31.03.2010

Race director Matt Koerber said of the new GPS chip - “There are many applications for this new technology, from ensuring that all teams can be challenged by the navigation, knowing that they will be corrected if they stray too far off course, to being able to run handicapped Adventure Races, where advanced teams receive no assistance, while less experienced teams are virtually guided around the courseâ€.
The cost of the GPS technology has been absorbed by new GPS tracking partners Phulz Australia, the distributor of the new technology in Australia. Phulz Australia Director, April Dai, believes that Adventure racing provides one of the best proving grounds for this new technology, in its ability to prove itself as a beneficial navigational tool and a potentially lifesaving product.
The new technology is being implemented in all BlackHeart Events Adventure Races from April 1 this year.
