For Toronto-area adventurers
Media Release / 25.04.2010

Want to learn more about the Yukon Arctic Ultra? On 6 p.m. May 26 at Nicholas Hoare (45 Front Street) in Toronto and again May 31 at Ben McNally Books (366 Bay Street) I’ll be reading from “From Ice to Ashes†a thriller set on the course of the Yukon Arctic Ultra.
The premise?
Who would expect an ultra race would be used to launch a military attack? No one, until it happens.
I’ve been a mainstay volunteer since the inaugural Ultra in 2003, usually at Dog Grave Lake, a remote wall tent checkpoint, 40 miles off road. Those experiences feed this adventure, and give readers a behind-the-scenes look at one of the toughest ultras in the world.
I invite all Toronto-area adventure racers to attend and bring your questions about the Arctic Ultra, trail conditions, etc. for a short Q&A following the reading. For more information contact me at yukonwriter@lycos.com
