Shongweni Dam near Durban hosted the third and final event in this year's SPUR Adventure Charity Challenge Series this past Sunday, May 2nd, 2010, with adventurous competitors from all over KwaZulu-Natal lining up at the start line. Martin Dreyer’s CHANGE A LIFE athletes attended in full force and claimed the Top 3 spots in the Adventure Challenge, while the Dusi King himself partnered with the inspirational Arthur Duncan, all of 75 years old. Dreyer, the Adventure Ambassador for the SPUR Adventure Charity Challenge Series, last year raced with 11-year old Jeremy Maarschalk, thus proving that athletes from any age can join in the fun at these popular multi-sport events.

All SPUR Adventure Charity Challenge events are held to raise funds, feeding hungry children through the non-profit organisation JAM (Joint Aid Management). The programme on the day features three events, namely the Adventure Challenge, a non-competitive Nature Hike and the ever-popular Bushbaby Trail for youngters in search for an easy and fun adventure.
