Rogue 8 - Nth Qld

Press Release / 13.07.2010
After the sell out success of the Rogue 24hr race in April this year, the Rogue is set to make another appearance on October 2nd in a shorter, 8hr version.

The Rogue8 will pit teams against each other over the traditional adventure racing disciplines of trekking, mountain biking and paddling. The course has been set to provide teams the ultimate freedom in route choice – competitors can choose the number, order and even how much of each stage they wish to tackle. Each stage is effectively its own small rogaine with every check point completely optional. Hence, the race is achievable by beginner racers, whilst top level athletes will need a precise mix of fitness, strategy and excellent navigation to come out on top.

Team Rogue are excited about the course potential. Mapping is well underway and incorporates a number of MTBO and Foot orienteering maps, as well as a whole new area of land that has never seen and adventure race before, all just 45min drive from the Brisbane CBD. Race HQ facilities are also a cut above what you would normally expect at a rogaine. Falling just two weeks before the Hells Bells 24hr race, this is also an excellent opportunity to get in that last solid team training session.
