Hot Racing at Time Freight Multisport Series No.2

Andrew Birkett (Team Jeep) continued to dominate the Multisport Long Course as he ripped through the course in a winning time of one hour, thirty-two minutes and 19 seconds. Change A Life talent Erik Zondi, who had set a cracking pace over the first 5km trail run leg, proved he is equally threatening on the paddling leg as he pulled into second place overall. Xterra specialist Justin Porteous (Future Life) completed a classy podium in the men’s field.

Jean Hackland (Team Jeep) led home the women’s field ahead of team mate Landy Puddu, who took second from Retha Shaw during the 20km mountain bike leg and managed to hold off a strong challenge from Shaw on the final paddling leg to finish second with Shaw third.

The Multi-X Long Course proved the most popular of the four races on the program with Tyronne White (Muscle & Fitness) taking a well deserved victory in the competitive men’s field. Second place went Daniel Carleton and Jean-Pierre ten Napel was in third.
