The Paddy Pallin Adventure Race Series heads south to Shellharbour for the 2010/11 season opener!

With two events within 2.5 hours of Sydney CBD and two events an hour tops from Canberra, you can go there for the day, or choose to make a weekend getaway of it with the family in tow. Enter at least 2 weeks before each event to take advantage of the early bird discounts! This Series promises to deliver heaps of fun and adventures for novices as well as challenging navigation and exciting locations for experienced racers!

The first event takes place on October 16th 2010 in the beautiful Shellharbour region. This is the first time the Paddy Pallin Adventure Race Series has visited the area and race organisers think it’s a “cracker course” with a bit of everything thrown in test teams’ mettle, including paddling on the infamous yellow 3-people sit-on-tops (provided with race entry), mountain biking, walking/running, all the while trying to find check points using a map and compass, a bit like a treasure hunt! Entries opened on August 3rd and close October 12th. Early bird entries have to be made before September 30th to save on late fees!
Entries are limited to keep the “adventure” in adventure racing, so don’t wait for the last moment to enter as these events are getting increasingly popular and sell out before they close!
