Trans Germany 2011 Announced

Three months after Christoph “Susi” Sauser (SUI) claimed victory on the new, shorter, fourth Craft Bike Trans Germany organisers have announced the date for the 2011 event. The fifth anniversary of the Trans Germany will take place from June 1st through 4th, 2011.

Online registration kicks off on November 12th, 2010, at noon. Entry spots will be allotted on www.bike-transgermany.de true to the maxim “first come first served.” The maximum number of participants is once again set at 1,200 mountain bikers.

“After the popularity of all the changes we instigated this year, we are glad to announce the 2011 date for the Trans Germany so early,” said project manager Anika Stephan of the Munich based organising event company Plan B.

However, the exact route will remain a secret for now. “We are currently sounding out the situation and trying to find the best possible course for next year.” The new route profile will be revealed soon as possible.
