Those Teams are Team Rogue out of Brisbane, Team SCAR from the Sunshine Coast, Team Giddiup from North Qld, Team Mentor from Melbourne and Team NSW Stingers split between Melbourne and Sydney.

Each of these teams has the potential to bring something different to the Abu Dhabi Adventure Challenge. Between them all there are seasoned adventure racers from across the country, every facet of the sport is covered in some way or another, from Sprint AR, XPD finishers, Ironman finishers, Murray marathon kayakers and Outrigger Paddlers.

Whichever team is ultimately selected will no doubt be more than competent at representing Australian AR in Abu Dhabi. I wish to thank all the teams who took the time to submit info to us and thank Tom Landon-Smith, Robyn Lazenby, Craig Bycroft and John Jacoby for their assistance in selecting the short list.

The Abu Dhabi Tourism Authority Award Slot can not only help raise the profile of adventure racing in Australia but also help showcase a great event on the world stage and further raise the awareness of a truly unique race and Abu Dhabi as an incredible and inspiring country.
