DUESOUTH XTERRA PRESENTED BY REHIDRAT® HEADS TO BUFFELSPOORT DAM

The first leg of season took place at Pezula Private Estate (Knysna) in July 2010, while the third and final leg will take place at Grabouw Country Club (Western Cape) in February in the form of DUESOUTH XTERRA South African finals presented by REHIDRAT®. The local series forms part of the XTERRA World Tour and athletes will have the opportunity to qualify for the world championship final in Hawaii.

DUESOUTH XTERRA Warriors competing at Buffelspoort Dam can look forward to swimming in pristine mountain waters of the Magaliesberg. The mountain bike route will include diverse combination of quick and challenging single track, a rock garden, thick sand track, serious climbs up jeep track and a fun and winding single track descent through indigenous bushveld with spectacular views. The run discipline will pit runners against a few river crossings and a steep ascent into a private game reserve, where at the summit, runners may be rewarded with sightings of resident Wildebeest, Kudu, Blesbok and Impala.

DUESOUTH XTERRA: 1.5km swim, 26.5km mountain bike and 12.5km trail run
DUESOUTH XTERRA Lite: 400m swim, 15.8km mountain bike and 6.3km trail run

After giving their all on the course, XTERRA Warriors can look forward to a well deserved rest in the REHIDRAT® Recovery Zone.
