QX events take place over the winter and include several different multisport off road races. They provide the perfect racing and / or training opportunities during the winter months.
QX races are designed for everyone whatever their ability. QX is for you, whether you have never raced before or race every weekend, whether you are a sprinter or an endurance athlete, whether you are a runner or a biker, or whether you are out to compete, do some training or just to have some fun!
The first QX event takes place on Sunday 20th February 2011 at Wasing (near Reading). Covering several thousand acres of prime Berkshire land, the Wasing Estate offers some of the finest off road terrain for running and biking in the area. Just one hour from London, in the beating heart of the South East, Wasing is an oasis of calm with winding rivers and narnia-esque wooded lakes supporting an incredibly rich variety of flora and fauna.
The event consists of an Off Road Duathlon for multi-sport athletes and a Trail Run for those who prefer two feet over two wheels. With both short and long course options available, you can choose a course length that best suits your fitness, experience and training / race objectives. QX Off Road Duathlons follow a run - bike - run format that combines the best of trail running and endurance mountain biking mixed in with a bit of mud and lots of fun!
