Terra Nova launches its extremities 2011 winter products

Press Release / 26.01.2011
The extremities childrens range should help prevent moaning about cold hands and ears. These great quality, performance styles include snow proof hats and gloves along with a fleece took, beanie and gloves. The new Junior Gaiter completes a full set of warm, protective accessories for your kids. The new women's range has over 25 gloves and 9 hats including lightweight Active styles for running, extremely warm Professional gloves for winter activities and women's fit versions of trekking and walking classics.

Women's Active gloves use Windstopper, Polartec and Coolmax performance fabrics and include the Elite Run Glove, with a useful key pocket and a Windstopper Elite Run Took to keep off the cold on early morning runs. The Women's Mountain Mitt is the warmest mitt ever developed by Terra Nova. The 12.5oz Primaloft mitt is targeted at those women who really suffer in the cold. There is 10oz Primaloft insulation and a full leather palm on the new Women's Mountain glove, plus a new 5oz Primaloft Winter Sports glove. These new models along with the existing Women's Inferno Glove offer the warmest range of women's gloves on the market. Thirteen women's specific sized models will be available next winter for walkers and trekkers, including established classics such as the Sticky Windy and Velo Gloves. The Women's Super Thicky Glove is a new development offering increased insulation with 3oz of Primaloft.

A men's Elite Run Glove has been developed for the Active range, which sits alongside an updated Active X Took. For those who want to increase their visibility in the dark, extremities is launching hi vis styles for men and women. The great value Glo Glove is offered in vibrant colours, alongside a new Sticky Glo Glove and updated Glo Beanie. The Orientagaiter is a great product for trail running, keeping off the mud and preventing scratches. It's been improved for AW11 to provide a firmer hold around the top. If you want an extra level of protection for running in the mountains then the new Fellagaiter offers a close fit and padded shin reinforcement. For a lower cut option the new Elite Runagaiter will keep dirt and debris from your trail shoes or mid cut boots. The men's trekking range sees an update to the popular Corbett Glove which offers more contempory styling and the classic Tuff bags have a more durable palm. A new, great value, Sticky Thinny has also been added.

Responding to demand from Professional users Terra Nova has added the Lightweight Guide Glove, a dexterous close fitting Windstopper glove with a Pittards palm and neoprene cuff. There has been a design update for the AR glove, designed for multi discipline adventure racing. In response to customer demand a Powerstretch Wrist Gaiter has been developed for AW11. It works great as part of a layering system with other gloves in the range preventing heat loss from this vulnerable area. A clever combination of fabrics in the new Power Fleece Glove and Power Fleece Banded Beanie offer great performance and excellent value. The versatile Guide Balaclava is a thick, warm Windstopper balaclava cut so the wearer can use it as a neck gaiter or open face balaclava. For value conscious customers the Knit Beanie has been developed for next winter.
