Adventure In Paradise
Media Release / 05.06.2011

The event attracted some of the best teams in the world of Adventure Racing and Vanuatu did more than just satisfy them. In the Event organiser’s first attempt at conducting an event of this magnitude they excelled themselves.
Spectators
One of the disappointing discoveries with entering Hells Bells for Team Vanuatu Adventure was that it seemed Adventure Racing wasn’t a Spectator Sport.
The Event Organiser sought to change that by organising a Spectator Package that would have friends and families out there on the course at key places seeing how they were going, but doing it in luxury being bussed around and enjoying great food and drink.
The Prologue
Of all the adventures that were had over the three days of competition the best feedback has come from this two hour orienteering prologue.
The Prologue had teams enter the Mele Village after dark and two of the checkpoints were not marked on the map meaning the International competitors had to interact with the Mele villagers to find them. The village was a buzz of excitement as the teams ran around in search of the checkpoints.
