Temperatures rise in Swansea Burn

Starting with a beach run of 8k on the hottest day of June, competitors then made for Clyne Valley, where the Clyne Riders had set out the most superb course of 6k of mountain biking. They then moved onto Kilvey Hill where they experienced some muddy and challenging downhill biking and navigation before cooling off in the River Tawe on a 3k kayak.
Race Director, Maria Leijerstam said,"It's brilliant to see families take part as we want to encourage it as a family event that is doable by everyone."
"Tom Lawson raced with his son in Cardiff Burn last October and did Swansea Burn with his daughter Anna this year so we are hoping to see wife Bethan at the next event!"
Cardiff Burn is the next in the series on October 23.
