Open Adventure Calendar 2011/2012

There were a few glum faces at the end of this years Open24 when Open Adventure announced that there won’t be an endurance series in 2012.

The open5+, 12 and 24 have been a calendar fixture for several years now, but in their place James and Lisa Thurlow are planning a couple of new races, while the Haglofs Open5 Series continues and there is, of course, the adidas TERREX Expedition Race to look forward to next August.

The new additions are a short adidas TERREX event that we are adding to the calendar and the resurgence of a bit of ‘old skool AR’ with a 2-day stage race at the end of April. The full calendar is as follows:

<b>Haglofs Open5 Series</b>
1st Sunday Oct, Nov, Dec, Jan (2nd Sun), Feb, Mar and April [pairs and solos].

<b>2 Day Old Skool Adventure Race – Lake District</b>
28/29th April [solos / pairs and teams 4]

<b>Ocean Kayak Race (Anglesey)</b>
20th May [skis / solo / tandem]
