Team adidas TERREX – 3 Races in 3 Months

Recently the team took on the biggest race in the UK calendar; The adidas TERREX Coast to Coast stage race. Racing from Whitehaven, in the Lake District to Robins Hoods Bay, in Yorkshire. The team were defending the TERREX and C2C title, joined by fellow adidas athlete and double Olympic gold medallist James Cracknell, and finished second to a fast Team Accclerate.
Two days after the Coast to Coast finished the rest of the squad set off for China to compete in the largest race in the Chinese adventure racing circuit; The Wulong Mountain Quest. Set in stunning mountainous terrain, it’s a gruelling stage race pushing all competitors to the limit. The race will be televised to a staggering 460 million Chinese people.
Finally, the most prestigious race of the year will take the team to the ‘wild’ west coast of Tasmania to compete in the adventure racing world championships. The champions of 2009 will be racing hard to regain the title in a tough 6-day non-stop race in true wilderness terrain.
The team will be putting all clothing, kit and nutrition to its ultimate test with extreme temperature ranges; a hot and humid 40 degrees in China to cold winds and snow in Tasmania. The extensive range of performance leading adidas TERREX clothing will keep the team cool in China and warm in Tasmania.
Consuming around 7,000 calories a day means eating a lot of highly nutritional food and drink. The team will be packing a mixture of: Clif bars, Clif shot bloks, For Goodness Shakes, Perionin performance drink, High 5 ZERO, and 4:1 energy drink to help us perform at our best.
