Adventure TV Goes Wild

News Release / 07.10.2011
2012 represents an evolution of adventure television. For the first time our cameras will venture to the far reaches of the globe covering the most exceptional adventure athletes on the planet.

From South America, through Asia, North America and Europe, and over thousands of kilometers of grueling mountain biking, trail running and kayaking, you will see the world’s real adventure racers. No second chances, no support and nowhere to go but the finish line.

We follow a select group of Wild Racers on their journey around the world competing in Expedition Adventure Races in the harshest environments on the planet. Tied together by the AR World Series the ultimate goal for their team is to be crowned the Adventure Racing World Champions.

Teams comprise of four members, both male and female, representing their country. Together and never more than 100 metres apart, they must compete non stop, day and night helping each other through seemingly endless mental, physical and environmental challenges. If one member fails, the whole team fails.

Six of the best AR World Series expedition races will provide the dramatic backdrop of each competitive round. The world will watch as the toughest teams of athletes on the planet go against each other and everything that mother nature can dish up. You will have never before seen the level of human endurance these competitors display.

The journey, the tears and triumphs are all captured in stunning high definition for the 24 part international TV series and online portals.

The AR World Series has now confirmed broadcasting to the Asia Pacific Region via FOX SPORTS, Outdoor Channel Asia and the Fairfax Groups Sydney Morning Heralds TV website in addition to a number of global airlines that will cary the series via their in-flight digital systems.

The list of global broadcast partners is growing rapidly with North America and Europe expected to be announced as we enter into the 2012 season.

The TV series will kick off following teams this November at the epic XPD Expedition Race on the wild and remote island of Tasmania, Australia.

The AR World Series is now canvasing the planet in search of teams willing to undertake this challenge of epic proportion.
