Get Ready for the Outdoors Show
Rob Howard / 07.12.2004

That isn’t the only AR connection the show has, SleepMonsters are once again the online partners for the event, and have designed the 2005 website which has just been launched.
It currently has information on the major features, theatres and the five specialist shows included under the Outdoors Show umbrella (Dive, Canoe, Climb, Adventure Sports and Adventure Travel). There is also a competition and you can buy tickets online. Over the coming months lots more information will be added, including details of 500 exhibitors and dozens of top speakers.
As always the Indoor Adventure Racing arena will be one of the main attractions, with the countries top teams sweating it out in front of the crowds. Last year’s climbing frame proved tough to hang on to, and the Jacob’s Ladder was a real crowd pleaser, but Phil Humphreys is sure to come up with something new for next year. Watch out for a stand dedicated to promoting adventure racing alongside the arena too.
Away from the arena there are lots more entertainments to keep an adventure racer amused. The show is a great place to listen to some inspirational speakers, watch the TNF Bouldering competition for a while and browse the latest gear. Just about everything you might need for racing is on sale somewhere in the halls, from paddles to bikes to footwear, and it’s a chance to compare and shop for bargains.
So, put the dates in your diary now, and take a look at the new website at www.theoutdoorsshow.co.uk.
