PRIMUS OmniLite Ti – Expedition Multifuel Stove

Primus is climbing the next step on the evolutionary ladder of its award winning multifuel stove OmniFuel. Based on the original technology and keeping its stability as well as its suitability for expeditions, Swedish stove specialist Primus developed the new OmniLite Ti. Made of titanium the stove weighs in at just 239 grams and has been optimized for the use of pots with a heat exchanger. The result: a lower need for fuel makes your overall pack weight even lighter.
Since its introduction in 2001 the OmniFuel has won the “Gear of the Year†award from German outdoor magazine seven times in a row (2002 till 2009). Additionally the first real multifuel stove got the “Editor’s Choice†award from the same magazine in 2006. Based on the successful technologies of this model Primus has now engineered another multifuel stove perfect for expeditions: the OmniLite Ti.
Windscreen, legs and the pot supports of the new stove are made of titanium. With its 239 grams it is not just lightweight, but also guarantees stability and is non-corrosive. The burner was explicitly built for the usage of special pots with a heat exchanger like the Primus Eta Pots: compared to the OmniFuel, the younger brother consumes less fuel thanks to a optimized heat output.
Moreover, the reduced distance between nozzle and flame spreader results in a strong flame and therefore less heat loss at the sides. OmniLite Ti is classified with an efficiency of category C, but in combination with the super efficient Primus Eta Pots the stove jumps up to level A (the highest efficiency class in a scale of four steps). While the basic handling stays the same the cleaning becomes easier with the OmniLite Ti. The whole burner (including the flame spreader) can be removed to expose the nozzle for exchange or fast and thorough cleaning. The Primus OmniLite Ti retails at 199.95 Euro (prices may vary in different European countries) and will be available in Spring 2012 at specialist outdoor retailers.
