It's a proven fact that mitts keep your hands warmer than gloves. With this in mind the designers at extremities have put together their widest range of mitts ever. The 15 styles, available for Winter 2012, cater for all weather conditions.

The Guide Tuff Bag, new for next winter, is the classic Tuff Bag with the addition of a leather palm for extra durability and a longer cuff for added weather protection. For those looking for ultra light clothing accessories, the new Top Bag waterproof over mitt weighs less than 50g per pair. All of these waterproof and breathable over mitts have been designed for use with other styles in the range including the new Hot Bags and the Windy Convertible Mitts. The Hot Bags are a lightweight liner designed for use with the Guide Tuff Bag, Tuff Bag or Top Bag. They are also ideal as an extra layer over other gloves in severe conditions.

The extremities 2012 range has a host of waterproof mitts at prices to suit all budgets and requirements. The extra warm, Super Inferno Mitt has been updated, there is a new Gore Tex mitt – the Storm Mitt and the new Winter Mitt offers great value. The Windy Convertible Mitt adds to the classic Windstopper range of hand protection; offering the warmth of a mitt with the dexterity of a glove when the mitt is folded back. This new convertible style is ideal for a large range of outdoor activities from walking, climbing and country sports such as fishing.

The extremities waterproof glove range has five new styles for Winter 2012 which cover a wide range of retail price points. In the Mountain category the new Super Munro and Munro are great fitting, dexterous gloves with a waterproof and breathable Gore Tex insert and Primaloft insulation for warmth. A leather palm offers durability and a long gauntlet style helps block out the weather, making these great all round winter mountain gloves.

In the Trekking range the new Super Corbett takes the established Corbett Glove and adds 10oz of synthetic insulation and a Gore Tex insert, resulting in a super warm glove. The new Storm Glove priced just below the Corbett range still offers the high quality Gore Tex insert and a gauntlet style for weather protection. The Inferno range has been improved for 2012 with draw cord cuffs on all styles to help seal out snow and rain. Finally, the great value Winter Gloves offer a quality entry level product that is suited to a wide range of outdoor activities.

And Not Just In Black ...

Extremities has long been know for high quality, functional accessories but black has often been the only colour available in most styles. The new extremities Urban products, in both men's and women's styles, offer something different. Designed to be used walking the high street to skiing in the mountains, they use a combination of traditional and technical materials for warmth and protection from the elements.

The styles include a matching range of Cable Knit accessories which are Windstopper lined. The knitted fabrics used in the Cable Knit Mitt, Cable Knit Took and Cable Knit Beanie, offer warmth whilst the Windstopper fends off wind chill. The Pattern Knit Mitt, Took and Beanie offer a splash of colour and are great value for money.
