Endurance Quest Adventure Race

Endurance Quest is a 72 hour long non-stop adventure race and is part of ARWS series.
The 2012 Endurance Quest Adventure Race will be run in an amazing areas of South-Finland. There will be crystal clear lakes, hundreds of them. Big clean sea, Finnish gulf. The archipelago is amazing with thousands of granite islands. The course will visit several national parks. The course will have more disciplines than any other race in world - Running, biking, sailing, kayaking, canoeing, climbing, kick-biking, inline skating, rowing, costaleering and secret disciplines. The race format will be very intensive the first day with many short sections and many changes. After that there will be some longer stages and then before the finish there will be more shorter sections to give the slow team chance to make shortcuts.
Maps in Finland are very accurate and people can trust in them. Previous years there have been maps in scale 1:50 000, but now we will make use of 1:20 000-1:30 000 scale maps - making it better to race with . Also some special orienteering and bike orienteering maps will be used. There will be the best tracking system used in ARWS races. The tracking will be very accurate overlaid on a good map, making it very easy to follow the teams during the race.

We are negotiating with finnish TV station and it looks very good to have a good coverage for the race.
