Get Your Team to the World Champs in New Zealand
Rob Howard / 20.01.2005

Teams who have already qualified for a place through previous World Series races can sign up for the race, and those who still hope to get there can qualify at 4 upcoming races later this year.
The first is the Bergson Winter Challenge in Poland in March, then comes the Appalachian Extreme in Maine USA in May, followed by the new Wilderness ARC in Scotland in August, and finally Terra Incognita in Croatia in September. The winning teams will get a free entry, and join a star studded line-up who have already qualified.
These include current champions Nike ACG/Balance Bar, Nokia Adventure (Finland), winners of the first AR World Champs in Switzerland, Mitsubishi Salomon Quasar Lontra of Brazil, Team Kathmandu of New Zealand, Salomon Canada, and Hooked on the Outdoors of the U.S.A.
They’ve already claimed free places, but it’s not all about winning. There are guaranteed places for second placed teams, and after that teams just finishing a qualifier might be able to qualify, depending the numbers entering. So Geoff Hunt is urging all teams interested in competing, including those planning to race in the qualifiers this year, to register their interest.
Teams should register an intention to take part at the World Champs with Nicole at infost@queenstown.co.nz or Geoff at admin@arworldchampionship.com
and include their name and team name, where the team qualified, or where they plan to qualify. (Teams must keep 2 members from the original qualifying team.)
