The NSW Spring Rogaine is on this weekend 6/7 Oct, at Wombeyan Caves, NSW - a fabulous location and easily accessible from Sydney and Canberra. There is a 15 in 24hr event or the full 24hrs. Entries are open til Thursday! So grab a friend or 4 and test you map reading skills.
The rogaine area is generally well wooded with limited undergowth. Terrain varies from some areas of quite low relief to undulating to steep. There are a couple of tracks that allow rapid access to the more distant areas.
Rogaines are great training events for adventure races, encouraging map reading skills as well as practicing the black art of 'finding the checkpoint!'.
