2013 Craft BIKE Transalp 2013

News Release / 09.11.2012

Munich, November 8, 2012 – in 2013, the Craft BIKE Transalp will take place for the 16th time already. Over the course of eight days, from July 13 thru 20, 600 mountain bike teams of two, consisting of pros as well as amateurs, will tackle the challenge of crossing the Alps.

The registration for the world's toughest mountain bike stage race will open Tuesday, December 11, 2012, at 12 PM online.

All available entry spots will be allocated on www.bike-transalp.de and true to the motto “first come, first served”. With good reason! Experience has shown that – due to the mad run on the tickets – almost all spots got taken in quite a short time window.

About the Craft BIKE Transalp

The Craft Bike Transalp is possibly the most famous stage race for mountain bike teams of two. Ever since its first edition in 1998, the routing leads the participants in eight stages from Germany across the main chain of the Alps to Italy. In 2013, the event takes place for the 16th time (July 13 thru 20).

Racers will master a total distance of more than 600 kilometers peppered with some 21,000 meters in elevation gain.

The registration for the 16th Transalp editions kicks off December 11, 2012, at 12 PM.
