2013 is the year - Madrid to Lisbon MTBike is your challenge!

Madrid-Lisbon in Mountain Bike has already a date which is from the 8th to the 22nd of June of the coming year 2013. Riders from all over the planet are already recognizing this route as one of the most exciting and challenging routes to be done, which with its 1200 km and nearly 28.000 of climbing it’s definitely for those few riders who know what an adventure like this means in terms of effort, skill, and know how. It also takes a great heart to choose to participate for all the moments spend in the wild nature thorough out this epic tour.

Joining the two capitals of the Iberian Peninsula, from Madrid to Lisbon, the route begins at the amazing Plaza del Sol in Madrid where the zero kilometers mark for all the roads that leave Madrid is located. Fifteen amazing stages, crossing the mountain ranges of Guadarrama, Gredos, and Gata in Spain, and the mountain ranges of Malcata, and Estrela in Portugal.

Along the route, amazing single tracks, roman bridges, historical villages and monuments are part of the scenery, ending at the most western point of Europe, the breathtaking Cape of Roca. We will sleep in different types of hostels, hotels, and even in a castle, and have time to experience the local food both in Spain and Portugal. There could be snow in the higher mountains, the vegetation and landscape will vary from stage to stage, from oak forests to the amazing Atlantic ocean coastline, cycling along loose cattle, veils, and wild horses.

Since each edition is limited to 20 participants (except for the self-guided tours), we recommend you to confirm your subscription as soon as you can to guarantee your place: although this is not a competition, other than a personal challenge for the rider, riding along with other mates will increase the adrenaline, knowing that in the end as always, we will end up as one big family of riders.
