The Winter Skills Workship weekend is the ideal place to learn simple yet essential camp-craft skills that can be used for your first winter excursion in the local hills, your first winter expedition to Scotland or indeed your first trip to the Polar Regions!
The skills workshop is a 2-day event (1 night) event consisting of short practical workshops that demonstrate the safe and practical use of equipment and clothing in a very ‘non-formal’ manner allowing for use, demonstrations and an overnight wild camp in the Welsh Mountains.
You can discuss different scenarios specific to you as well as learn varying skills to add to your outdoor skills armoury — every ‘adventure’ day is an ‘adventure school’ day!
The package includes:
· 'Base camp' set up
· Tea/coffee/hot chocolate
· Expedition kit demonstrations
· An overnight wild camp and navigation mountain course
· Expert advice and guidance from experienced Polar leaders
· First aid qualified leaders
All attendee's will be required to provide their own clothing, kit, equipment and provisions and remain self-sufficient throughout the course of the weekend.
This workshop will run twice yearly (Summer and Winter) and applications are being taken for the Winter Skills workshop 'NOW' - 'first come, first served!' Book now to avoid disappointment!
