Munich, April 15, 2013 – The first ever BIKE Four Peaks takes shape 50 days prior to the start. About 850 mountain bikers have already registered to compete in the four-day stage race which leads from Ruhpolding to Neukirchen am Großvenediger from June 5 thru 8; including several international top athletes.
Besides reigning German Marathon Champion Markus Kaufmann and his team mate from Centurion Vaude, Jochen Kaess also Karl Platt and Tim Boehme of Team Bulls are among the favs for the win.
In addition, Alban Lakata (Topeak Ergon Racing), who hast several Austrian Championships to his belt, is looking for a top result in the race which mainly takes place in his home country.
But also Swiss Urs Huber (Team Bulls) as well as Thomas Stoll and Lukas Buchli (both BiXS-iXS Pro Team) are good for the BIKE Four Peaks title.
Germany's Torsten Marx and Matthias Leisling of black tusk Racing toMotion should also be on the list as they already secured their World Championships spots just a few days ago.

About the BIKE Four Peaks
The BIKE Four Peaks promises to be a true highlight of the 2013 mountain bike calendar. Designed for a maximum of 1,000 participants, the four-day stage race will lead through the most spectacular mountain bike areas of the Alps.
Pros as well as amateurs will pedal a total of some 300 kilometres which are peppered with about 9,000 meters in elevation gain from Ruhpolding via Lofer, Kirchberg in Tirol and Kaprun to Neukirchen am Großvenediger.
Besides entering the race as single starter, every participant also has the chance to register for a team of four or even more mountain bikers.
