AROC 24 Hour Urban Adventure - Canberra

Australia\'s first truly urban 24 hour event will be a blast. We have been out setting the course and are getting very excited at some of the places you will go to and some of the things you will do!!
Canberra is a perfect setting for the urban adventure race with the lots of great tourist attractions and lots of bush and parkland surrounding the city areas. There are some great coffee shops - if you are going to stop for a cappuccino then it should be a good one- and we have heard that there are more restaurants per capita in Canberra then anywhere else in the world!!
There will be some great surprises, beautiful scenery and lots of action so come prepared.
The course will be a fixed course meaning that checkpoints must be visited in a set order. The aim will be to visit as many checkpoints and complete as many of the legs (in the set order) within the 24 hour period. There may be only a few teams that actually complete the whole course. This means that everyone will be out there for the 24 hours - even the winners so you will all be finishing around the same time.
You and your team will need to decide when to cut the course short and return to the finish to make it back within the 24 hour period. Any teams arriving at the finish line more than 1 hour after the 24 hour period will be disqualified. So if you are hanging out the back visiting too many pubs you will need to keep an eye on the time!
