The 3rd Edition of the Madrid-Lisbon mountain bike challenge will take place on June 2014, offering riders 1200km and 28000m+ of pure adventure!
The Madrid-Lisbon MTBike is one of the biggest mountain biking adventures in Europe!
A challenge, a traverse and an adventure. Two countries, two capitals and 15 mountains between the two! 14 days in the mountains and one by the sea!
Imagine biking from Madrid to Lisbon in 15 days, finishing at Cabo da Roca Cape - the westernmost point of Europe; 800 miles of off-road across forest tracks, gravel roads and incredible single tracks over the highest slopes across the Iberian Peninsula until reaching the Atlantic Ocean.
The Iberian Peninsula is one of Europe’s best locations to go Mountain Biking. With its best secrets still to be found, spectacular natural tracks that go on for miles, and mild weather unlike no other place in Europe this is a scenic ride with no equals. This route is excellent in terms of diversity of trails and beautiful landscapes with mountain range scenery. As it crosses the interior of Spain and Portugal, it is very rich in historic sites. Riders will also discover a rich cuisine and comfortable accommodation.
The organization will handle everything for cyclists during the 15 days of crossing:
- 1200km Guided tour or GPS Guided Tour
- Accommodation in quality Hotels and Inns
- All meals (dinner, buffet lunch en route and breakfast)
- Luggage Transfers
- Transfers from the airport to the beginning and end to airport
- Bike Mechanical assistance and spare bike
