Protective Takes Over BIKE Four Peaks Title Sponsorship
News Release / 12.02.2014

With just four months to the start of the 2014 BIKE Four Peaks, Protective, a leading brand for mountain bike clothing, has taken over the title sponsorship of the four-day stage race which will be called Protective BIKE Four Peaks from now on.
While the registrations significantly grew compared to the previous year already, thus underling the athletes acceptance of the race, which will take place for the first time exclusively in Austria, the three-year engagement of the cycle wear outfitter based in South Germany also shows that the event is rated high in the mountain bike scene.
“It's a very good sign that Protective committed itself to our event by taking over the title sponsorship; not only for one year but for the longer term. Our participants will definitely capitalize on this new partnership,” says Mathias Ley, CEO of the Hamburg based organising event company Ley Events GmbH.
“We want to focus on mountain biking again. This is why we took over the title sponsoring, to present ourselves and to take root again. It's our goal to strengthen our visibility end-consumer-wise. Therefore, the BIKE Four Peaks are the ideal partner for Protective,” explains Stefanie Badenius, Sales Management, THALER sports GmbH & CO. KG.
In keeping with the motto 'Feel strong and protected, wherever you are', the company, which underwent a full reorientation last year, will present its products in every stage town over the course of the four days and will also be on hand with help and advice for every participant at their expo booth.
About the Protective BIKE Four Peaks
After its successful debut in 2013, the Protective BIKE Four Peaks is an absolute red-letter day in every mountain biker's 2014 calendar. The four-day stage race for a maximum of 1,000 participants will lead through the most spectacular mountain bike areas of the Alps from June 4 thru 7 next year.
In total, the routing consists of about 275 km and 9,250 metres in elevation gain leading from Leogang via Lofer, Kirchberg and Neukirchen to Kaprun.
Besides entering the race as single starter, every participant can also register for a team of four or even more mountain bikers.
