X-Bionic Teams Up With Born Survivor
Press Release / 07.03.2014

Born Survivor has teamed up with Ardblair Sports Importers, the UK distributor of the hi-tech Swiss sportswear brand, X-BIONIC®. The military inspired, mass participation obstacle course, will work with their new sponsor on a range of cross-promotional activity, as well as benefiting from a range of X-BIONIC® clothing for participants on the day of their next event on April 5th.
Born Survivor’s marketing manager, Matt Leigh, said, “Since our first event in September last year, we’ve been working hard to secure key sponsors we know have a clear synergy with both our brand and participants. We wanted a clothing sponsor that was quality and technical enough to meet the demands of our participants and working with X-BIONIC® couldn’t have been a better outcome.
We’ve been incredibly impressed with their technical sportswear range and it’s something we know will be capable of meeting the needs of those who choose to wear it on the gruelling Born Survivor course. We’re delighted to be working with them and look forward to seeing our relationship develop during 2014.”
Ardblair Sports Importers’ sales director, Lilian Sullivan, said, “X-BIONIC® have redefined the world of functional clothing; the brand is synonymous with the world of endurance sports and offers a great range of technical sportswear we know is perfect for those taking part in extreme obstacle events like Born Survivor. The Born Survivor course is set to be incredibly demanding and our X-BIONIC® garments are a great choice for those who take part, maximising cooling or insulation when necessary, supporting muscles, and enhancing endurance. To be involved with this event means we can showcase our product to an audience we know it will appeal to, as well as helping them to perform at their very best.”
Born Survivor’s next event will be held on Saturday the 5th April at Lowther Castle in Cumbria, where over 2,000 people will take part on the day. Details of the course have now been released with participants being able to expect over 30 obstacles, 1,000ft of ascent, all across a 10km course.
Matt Leigh said, “We’re exceptionally excited about our new course, which will start and finish in our brand new event village at the stunning Lowther Castle. Building on the success of last year’s course, our April event is all about monster massive slides, freezing river crossings, sickeningly steep hills, deep dark tunnels, and mega-long net crawls, all peppered with some surprises thrown in along the way! We’ve also split the course into four distinct areas that we’ve dubbed ‘battle-zones’, something no other obstacle event is yet to do.”
Entries for Born Survivor’s next event in April are still open until March 21st and more information and entry details can be found at www.born-survivor.com.
