FIFA World Cup, the Olympics and now the Adventure Racing World Championship 2015.

AR World Series Director, Craig Bycroft said "I am excited to announce that Brazil has been chosen as the host country of the Adventure Racing World Championship 2015"

Race Director, Shubi Guimaraes said "We want to welcome in 2015 the international adventure racing community to our wonderful country and give them an experience they will remember always."

The AR World Championship Brazil will be held in November 2015 and include over 500km of non stop adventure racing in the disciplines of mountain biking, trail running, vertical roping and kayaking.

Teams representing over 30 countries will travel to Brazil to compete for the World Championship title and $75,000 USD in prize money.

Event Director, Tiago Guimaraes said "The race will be held in the Pantanal region of Brazil, a vast wilderness in the far East of the country, close to the Bolivian border.  It is a region which offers a mix of Brazils environments, from rain forests through wetlands, tropical forests and to open savanna plains.

The AR World Series unites in competition the worlds best endurance athletes at premiere Qualifier events around the globe. The top two teams at each of these races gain a coveted position on the start line of the annual pinnacle of the sport, the AR World Championship.

AR World Series Director, Craig Bycroft, said "The world will get to watch the AR World Championship 2015 Brazil through the production of 2 x one hour adventure sport television programs to be distributed to over 600 million homes worldwide".

Along with this news, the Brazil race scheduled for this year will now be postponed, allowing the organising team at Liga Outdoor to focus all their energies on preparing an incredible World Championship event for next year.

The AR World Championship has defined the sport of adventure racing and crowned the worlds top adventure racing teams since 2001.
