The AR World Series rankings have been updated as of October 2014. The current rankings include the new results of the recent AR World Series events of Itera (Wales) and Raid in France (France).

After a fast paced start to the year, Team Seagate from New Zealand has moved back into the number 1 position by securing strong wins at two Qualifiers (Godzone Adventure and Expedition Africa).

Columbia Vidaraid (Spain) have climbed into second place, their highest position on the rankings to date, after consistently solid results including a victory at the Untamed NE Qualifier this year.

The reigning World Champions, Thule Adventure team (Sweden) have dropped down into 3rd position. This would be expected though with two key team members leaving Thule to form Team France (currently ranked 36). Team France will be a team to watch with a solid second place at the Untamed NE race this year and a focus on the AR World Championship in Ecuador.

Team adidas TERREX (United Kingdom) have jumped one rung higher into 4th, their highest ranking to date, after holding strong in 6th and 5th place for almost 2 years. Haglofs Silva (Sweden), who came second in Expedition Africa this year (and were winners last year), round out the top 5.

The big mover in this release is the French team Arverne Outdoor, jumping from 28th to 12th with a solid 3rd place at Raid in France (73 points) and 8th place at Expedition Africa (40 points) earlier this year. adventureteam.dk/Salomon are a team to watch moving from 50th to 18th. Likewise Peak Performance seem to be hitting their stride after a number of team line up changes, also moving from equal 50th to 18th mirroring the Danish team.

New this year is the introduction of ranking points being awarded to all ranked teams at a qualifier (not just the top 10 as in previous years) and this has seen an influx of new teams with their name on the list. There are currently almost 200 international teams represented on the AR World Rankings.

Eyes are now on the AR World Championship in Ecuador from 7-19 November. Points that teams are awarded at this race are weighted 2.5x to reflect the high level of competition at the championship. The next rankings are schedule for release in early December.
